Role:
UI/UX Designer
Project Overview:
The Retro Snake Game project was created for Goally Game Enterprises, specifically focusing on bringing games for children who are diagnosed with ADHD. My role was to design a retro-inspired yet clean and responsive interface that felt playful but not outdated.
My Responsibilities:
Designed the full UI layout and visual system (grid, buttons, and animations).
Created a color palette inspired by early handheld consoles but adjusted for modern readability and accessibility.
Focused on mobile & tablet adaptability, ensuring the design worked seamlessly on both mobile and Goally Tab views.
Crafted pixel-style visual elements while keeping the interface polished with subtle shadows and rounded edges for that modern-retro hybrid feel.
Goal & Outcome:
The objective was to make children instantly recognize the nostalgia while feeling like they’re playing a modern product. The design successfully balanced simplicity, clarity, and aesthetic charm, giving the old Snake game a fresh, branded twist.
Note: This case study includes two themed designs, Violet (Retro) & Green - both being designed for the same client
